Suicide Prevention Training and Awareness to be Held at WMHS

On Wednesday evening, September 13, 2017, representatives from Deaconess Cross Pointe will be on the Wood Memorial campus to provide Suicide Prevention Training and Awareness.  There are two training sessions scheduled, one for the instructional and support staff, and the second for parents, students, and school-community members interested in learning more around this most important topic.

The instructional and support staff training is scheduled for 3:45pm to 5:15pm.  Certificates of Attendance will be provided in order to allow those instructors attending to apply this time to their Professional Growth Plan.  Attendance at this training session is voluntary.

Beginning with the 2018 – 2019 school year this type of training will be mandatory for all school staff working with students.  The training is available for all members of the East Gibson School Corporation who are interested in attending.

Session 2 will be conducted from 6:00pm – 7:30pm and is for parents, students, and school-community members.

Both training sessions will be held in the Wood Memorial High School and Wood Memorial Junior High School cafeteria.
