Students and parents interested in being a part of Wood Memorials first Bass Fishing Team should mark Thursday, September 14, 2017 on their calendars. An organizational meeting, led by coach Chuck Condiff, will be held in the lecture room on this date. The meeting begins at 6:00pm.
The Wood Memorial High School and Wood Memorial Junior High School Students Services organization has established class accounts on the Remind and Schoology tools in order to enhance communication, collaboration, and information sharing. Parents and students are encouraged to join their respective class account to ensure opportunities to receive timely and relevant communication on topics such as: scholarship opportunities, state assessment dates, college admission dates, and much, much more.

Wood Memorial’s newest singing group, the Wood Memorial Singers, will conduct auditions on Wednesday, August 30, 2017, from 3:30pm – 4:30pm, in the Choir Room. For more information contact Mr. White.
On Wednesday evening, September 13, 2017, representatives from Deaconess Cross Pointe will be on the Wood Memorial campus to provide Suicide Prevention Training and Awareness. There are two training sessions scheduled, one for the instructional and support staff, and the second for parents, students, and school-community members interested in learning more around this most important topic.
The instructional and support staff training is scheduled for 3:45pm to 5:15pm. Certificates of Attendance will be provided in order to allow those instructors attending to apply this time to their Professional Growth Plan. Attendance at this training session is voluntary.
Beginning with the 2018 – 2019 school year this type of training will be mandatory for all school staff working with students. The training is available for all members of the East Gibson School Corporation who are interested in attending.
Session 2 will be conducted from 6:00pm – 7:30pm and is for parents, students, and school-community members.
Both training sessions will be held in the Wood Memorial High School and Wood Memorial Junior High School cafeteria.
Wood Memorial High School and Wood Memorial Junior High School welcomes Mr. Lukas Messmer, new Physical Education and Health instructor. A graduate of Southridge High School, Mr. Messmer earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology, from Indiana University. He will teach junior high school Physical Education and Health.
